East Coast FM’s Wicklow Wide Coffee Morning

We want you to take part in the 2012 East Coast FM’s Wicklow Wide Coffee Morning in aid of the Five Cancer Support Centres in County Wicklow and the Wicklow Hospice Foundation.

East Coast FM is running their 4th annual county wide coffee morning on Friday 20th April in conjunction with East Coast FM’s Morning Show. Coffee mornings will take place simultaneously in ten different venues around the county between 10am and Midday.

Last year, because of your help we managed to raise over €33,000 in aid of the Cancer Support Centres in County Wicklow, to date we have raised over €90,000 and this year we’re asking you to help us again. By taking part, you can help us raise much needed funds and make this years’ Wicklow Wide Coffee Morning an even bigger success.

This year, the Coffee Morning will again raise money for all of the cancer support centres and services in County Wicklow including the Wicklow Hospice Foundation. The cancer support services in Wicklow do fantastic work in the county. These organisations offer invaluable services to the people of Wicklow who are dealing with all aspects of cancer.

To take part simply;

• Attend one of our ten venues and bring along as many friends as possible.
• Make a donation
• Enjoy coffee, tea and refreshments
• Be in with an opportunity to win some fantastic prizes.

We will have a dedicated East Coast FM reporter on site at each venue and they will link back to Declan live on the Morning Show. Do expect to see some famous Wicklow faces on the day; we have lots of celebrities supporting this worthwhile event, already confirmed to take part on the day with appearances/performances are; Musicians Phil Coulter, Luan Parle, Jack L, Paul Harrington, Phelim Drew, Sean Millar, Mac Fleetwood Tribute Band, J P Ryan, Rod McNeil, Empire Saints, Sports Personalities Shane Byrne and Leighton Glynn, Authors Sarah Webb, Claudia Carrol, Cathy Kelly  and Emma Hannigan, TV Presenter and Author Amanda Brunker, Fair City Actors, Pat Nolan and Maclean Burke (Barry and Damien)

  * Eugene Finnegan Buses will be running from the Monument, Enniskerry to Avoca from 10am to 11.30am - and returning from 12pm - 1.45pm

Organising your own coffee morning;

We are hoping for a great turnout on the big day but if you can’t attend one of our venues please organise your own coffee morning in your office, your local coffee shop or even your home.

• Simply contact the station to register your details so the Morning Show can check in with you on the day
• Get a few friends together on the day for some coffee and refreshments
• Tune into the Morning show so you can keep up with the rest of the county
• Donate on-line or collect donations and bring the funds raised to East Coast FM

The Cancer support services are an invaluable service for the county and our aim at East Coast FM is to get our listeners, the people of Wicklow together to help raise awareness and plenty of money while having a good time.

This year we want to go the extra mile so are also holding another fundraising event to raise even more money for the same charities, it will take place in the Martello in Bray from 730pm on Sunday April 22^nd, where you can see some very well known East Coast DJ’s get their legs and/or chests waxed or heads shaved for this very worthy local cause and in the unlikely event that is not enough entertainment, you can also expect live music from The Shoos and fantastic prizes – all the staff of East Coast will be there on the night to support their colleagues through their “experience”

Just head along on the night, make a donation and enjoy some hair-raising, pulling and ripping fun at the expense of our soon the be shaven and waxed DJ’s
